zApp Creator Step 1

The first step of creating a zApp is to provide the details required for the zApp to appear in any library in sQuizya.

zApp Name

Every zApp needs a name. This name is how other users will see your zApp in the libraries. zApp names should be informative and engaging so users will want to participate in it.

Keywords

Keywords are an additional search function that help teachers find zApps and zApp Books. They can be any common words that will help users to find your work.

Author Name

This is the zApp creator’s name or how they would like their name to appear. If the zApp has more than one author, write the author names’ as you would like them to appear.

Category

To help filter zApps for other users select a category from the drop down menu. The category options are:

  • ·      Arts
  • ·      Business and Commerce
  • ·      English Language
  • ·      General Knowledge and Entertainment
  • ·      Health
  • ·      History and Geography
  • ·      Language
  • ·      Literature
  • ·      Mathematics
  • ·      Media and Communications
  • ·      Philosophy and Religion
  • ·      Science
  • ·      Social Sciences
  • ·      Technology and Applied Sciences

Subcategory

Subcategory is another level of filtering for zApps. You need to select the most relevant subcategory from the drop down menu. Each category has a group of subcategories attached to it. The sub categories will load once the main category has been selected.

zApp Type

Please select the most relevant classification for your zApp. A zApp can be one of eight types:

  • ·      Lesson
  • ·      Tutorial
  • ·      Exercise
  • ·      Assessment
  • ·      Project
  • ·      Survey
  • ·      Information
  • ·      Other

Focus Country

Please select the country your zApp is intended for. If it is a generalized zApp that will suit multiple countries’ learning levels then select the global option.

Level

Please select the academic level your zApp is intended for. You can select from the level classifications for the country your institution is based in. However users from another country will see their corresponding year level.

For example:

Australia – Year 12

US – Senior

NZ – Year 13

Northern Ireland – Year 14

England/Wales – Year 13

Scotland - 6th Year

Canada – Grade 12

India – 12th Standard

zApp description

Please complete a zApp description explaining what your zApp is intended for, how many questions, what learning goals will be achieved and a general overview. There is a limit of 700 characters or around 80 words.

Curriculum References

Curriculum references are optional.

Some countries have standardized learning aims that have codes attributed to them. If your work can be linked to a curriculum code or reference, please add it so other users can easily find it in the sQuizya Library.
